Overview
The Grape Solar Glacier 5.0 is a 5 cu. ft. , 12 Volt DC or 120 Volt AC powered, refrigerator/freezer for boats, cabins, vehicles or emergency preparedness applications. The Glacier 5.0 has a high efficiency DC compressor for reliable, worry-free performance. With a separate freezer compartment that cools down to 5 degrees F (-10 degrees C), you can store all of your perishables in ideal conditions.
Insulation
What's the point of a high efficiency DC compressor if you are not going to properly insulate the refrigerator? We use 2 inch of insulation around the refrigerator compartment and 3 inch around the freezer compartment so the cold stays where it belongs, inside the unit.
Simplicity Where It Matters
Three locking shelves in the main compartment are quick and easy to remove for simple cleaning of spilled items. The analog temperature knob is recessed to maximize interior space and prevent accidentally adjustments. The inclusion of both DC and AC power cords allows you to quickly change power supplies as the need arises.
Adjustable to Fit Your Life
A dual position hinge allows the door to be adjusted to open from either side, allowing it to work in most room configurations.
